You’d think eating healthy foods would be much easier, especially with so many delicious ingredients to work with. Yet many of us struggle daily thanks to the convenience and abundance of ultra-processed foods. These days we’re forced to work against our own biological mechanisms. Cravings for high-calorie, convenient foods used to work for us, but not anymore. These mechanisms now hurt us because we’re living in an obesogenic food environment. To eat healthy, nourishing meals, we need to go against what is thought of as a normal diet. Bottom line – we need to genuinely care for ourselves and make an effort.
